AROUND the Ridge
There are always plenty of activities available for you and your family to enjoy at the "RIDGE"! From family game nights & scheduled events (see calendar)! Take a dip in our saltwater swimming pool, play some Basketball maybe show off your singing chops at one of our Karaoke nights! For the grown ups, we regularly schedule Corn Hole and Euchre tournaments and the ever so popular Golf Cart Drag Races!! There is a little something for everyone Around the Ridge! Nearby is the Westwood Lake, a 10,000 acre lake known for its small mouth bass fishing and nature trails! Also, located to the north of Walnut Ridge is Mt. Summit State Park, with 5 beautiful lakes for kayaking, canoeing and crappie fishing! Is fishing not your game? Enjoy a round of golf at Memorial Park Golf Course located just 3 miles northeast of the "Ridge"! New Castle is also home to the Indiana High School Basketball Hall of Fame located on Trojan Lane in the heart of New Castle!

Who doesn't enjoy relaxing around the pool or taking a cool dip on a HOT Summer Day! Our salt water, stainless steel swimming pool is one of the most well maintained and family friendly facilities in all of Henry Co., and surrounding counties. The best part...it's just for you! Our seasonal and overnight campers have exclusive access to this clean and refreshing amenity located at the heart of Walnut Ridge! The pool is open from Memorial Day weekend thru Labor Day weekend! Check in at our campground office for pool hours, rules and regulations.

Walnut Ridge provides our little campers with a fun and safe place to burn some energy! Their adventure begins as soon as they step foot inside this fenced-in area located between the basketball court and Putt-Putt course. Whether they are "Pirates of the Caribbean" for a day or a bunch of super hero's coming together to save the world! Sit back and watch their imaginations come to life with all the towers, slides and coves our play ground has to offer!
Ice Cream
Need to work on your putting? Want to enjoy a competitive game of Putt-Putt with your family and friends? Here at the "Ridge" we've got you covered. 18 holes of challenging and fun Putt-Putt is waiting for you just around the corner from our playground. Stop by our campground office and pick out your winning putter and the color golf ball you want to sink that hole-in-one with! Make sure you tell them Wally sent you!!
If our salt water pool isn't enough to cool you off, step inside our air conditioned Walnut Ridge Ice Cream shop! We proudly present 16 of the most popular flavors Velvet Ice Cream has to offer. Whether you like your ice cream in a bowl, cup or you prefer it with a waffle cone, it's always best with TWO SCOOPS!!
